TuneLink Home for iPad, iPhone, iPod touch users is a state-of-the-art device that will simplify your connected lifestyle and provide many hours of enjoyment and utility.
Download the free TuneLink Home app and connect the TuneLink Home device to your entertainment system as shown in the included quick reference guide.
1. Connect the 3.5mm plug of the audio cable to TuneLink Home and connect the red and white RCA plugs to the input on your speaker system. Alternatively, use any TOSLINK cable to connect the optical output of TuneLink Home to the optical input of your entertainment system.
2. Plug in the USB cable and connect it to the USB power adapter or any spare USB port.
3. Select correct input on the stereo and set the volume to a low level.
4. From the Bluetooth settings menu, pair your mobile device to TuneLink Home.
5. Your tunes should automatically start playing, if not press play on the audio app of your choice. Adjust the volume on the stereo to your typical listening level. Further volume adjustment may be made using the volume controls on your mobile device.
1. Download the TuneLink Home app from the iTunes App Store. Simply search for "TuneLink Home" to find the app.
2. Open the app and tap on the "My Remotes" button.
3. Choose the device type.
4. Select the brand.
5. Select a theme and tap "Save". Your remote is ready to use.
1. From the "My Remotes" screen, tap the "Add" button.
2. Scroll to the bottom and choose "Custom" as the device type.
3. Choose either "Standard" or "Button List" and press "Next".
4. Enter a name for your custom device and press "Next".
5. Select a theme and press "Next".
6. Tap the button that you would like to program.
7. Tap "Learn", then aim the existing remote control towards the front of TuneLink Home and press the desired key. When TuneLink Home receives the IR command, the display bars in the app will change from grey to red and green to show that it is learning. After a code is learned, tap the "Test" button to try out the code. If the code is working properly to control your device, tap "Save". If the code fails to learn or does not work properly, simply tap "Learn" again to try again. In some cases, you may have to adjust the TuneLink Home unit to aim more towards the device to be controlled in order for it to reliably control the device.
8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 for each button that you want to program, then select "Next". On this page, you may re-test all the buttons, then press "Save". Your new customized remote will be added to your "My Remotes" page.
9. If the original remote control is missing or damaged and the device cannot be found in our database, then you may send a device request to our support team. Navigate to the "Settings" page then scroll down and tap "Email Remote Request". Fill out the type, make, and model of the device you wish to request then tap "Send". With the exception of a few rare devices, we will include an update for your device in the next database update.
10. To update the device database, navigate to the "Settings" page, scroll down, and tap "Update Device Database". This will update the app with all the latest remote codes and any new devices.
1. From the "My Remotes" screen, press the yellow "Add" button.
2. Choose "New Activity" then enter a name like "Listen to music" and press "Start"
3. Press buttons on the remote screens in the order you would like them to be pressed, for instance, to listen to music, the activity might go as follows:
- Stereo Receiver: Power ON.
- Add a 3-5 Second delay to allow receiver to power up: Tap the clock icon in the red bar 3-5 times. Each tap adds 1 second.
- Stereo Receiver: Input AUX (as an example, TuneLink Home may be plugged into the AUX input of your stereo)
When finished pressing all the remote commands for the activity, press the Check-box icon to save the activity. The new activity will appear on the "My Remotes" page and the home page. Each time you press the activity button TuneLink Home will replay the series of button presses and set up your stereo for listening to music.
1. From the "My Remotes" screen, press the "Edit" button.
2. To edit the remote codes, tap the remote you wish to edit, and then choose "Edit Key Codes". Refer to the "Create custom remotes" section to see how to program a custom key code.
3. To delete a remote, from the "Edit Devices" page, swipe across the device you wish to delete, and then tap "Delete". Alternatively, you may tap the "Edit" button followed by the red minus icon and then "Delete".
1. From the "My Remotes" page, tap the "Settings" gear icon.
2. Select "Edit Activities".
3. To edit an activity, tap the blue and white arrow icon next to the activity you wish to edit. From this page, you may run the activity by pressing the play icon, add buttons using the plus icon, add time using the clock icon, or use the -/+ icons to add or remove repetitions of any button press. Repeated buttons are indicated by a number next to the button bar. When finished editing the activity simply navigate back to the home screen using the buttons in the upper left corner of the screen.
4. To delete an activity, navigate to the "Edit Activities" page, swipe across the activity you wish to delete, and then tap "Delete". Alternatively, you may tap the "Edit" button followed by the red minus icon and then "Delete".
Update the firmware in your TuneLink Home:1. Navigate to the "Settings" page in the TuneLink Home app.
2. Tap the button "TuneLink Home firmware update available"
3. Press "Start" to begin the firmware update process. TuneLink Home will blink to show that the firmware is being downloaded, and then it will flash red while it reprograms itself. After updating, TuneLink Home will reboot itself and then automatically reconnect to your mobile device. Once reconnected, the app will notify you that the firmware update is complete. Note: While updating, do not power off TuneLink Home.
